The Guide

This guide provides additional resources to further learning and  thinking about the topics addressed in the "Politics of Indigenous Identity" workshop. This workshop is a part of the Pîkiskwêtân: Indigenous Learning Series, facilitated by the Indigenous Directions Leadership Council

Resources include selections of essential books, articles, podcasts, etc. to expand your knowledge on the historical and current treatment of Indigenous Identities in what is now known as Canada. Topics include land dispossession, forced assimilation, the representation of Indigenous peoples in various media, racial profiling, and cultural appropriation.
